Discretizer Roadmap

Milestone 1 - June 2008
Make an alpha release. The only feature lacking is to do a cube from two faces. Then the feature set is considered complete.
Todo: Implement InfoCube2f

Milestone 2 - August 2008
Make Discretizer work in conjunction with OpenFOAM and ParaView flawlessly on Linux32 and Windows32 platform. Discretizer will then be version 1.0 beta.

Milestone 3 - October 2008
Performance tuning. Finding bottlenecks and write c-extensions if required. During this stage the wish is to iron out some mesh errors occurring when using spherical coordinate systems.

Feature implementations
One feature that will be comparatively easy to implement is boundary layer cells. Maybe this feature will show up Q3 2008. Also there will be a increase in possible boundary conditions and physical models you can set up in the Discretizer interface.

Recent improvements

  • Volume mesh speedup
  • OpenGL framerate boost
  • New volume mesh generator

    Current work

  • Update function total remake (to avoid unnecessary regeneration of face and line objects) (almost done)
  • Stabilizing InfoCube2f
